Job summary

The NBA seeks a Technical Manager, Local Media in Secaucus to lead production technology services for Local Media broadcasts. You will manage freelance Technical Managers, set standards, and drive improvements across arenas and Secaucus, ensuring reliable, scalable live game execution.

Based in NBA Secaucus, this role requires five days in-office attendance and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and events. Collaboration with engineering, operations, and production partners is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Media Production, or related field preferred.
8–10+ years of experience in live broadcast production or technical operations.
Experience leading technical personnel in live sports broadcasts or large-scale productions.

Responsibilities

Lead operational leadership for Local Media production technology services.
Oversee live NBA game productions, transmission, routing, and master control workflows.
Serve as primary escalation point during live productions.
Develop contingency plans, incident response procedures, and runbooks.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure technical readiness and high reliability.
