Job summary

Tyson & Mendes is seeking an experienced litigator for our Northern California team, based in Novato. You’ll own cases, manage client relationships, and advance matters from discovery through trial with support from senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA approved school.
• Must be licensed in the State of California.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities and discovery/trial prep.
• Experience with time management systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Develop case strategy, manage client relationships, and handle discovery and motion practice.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare matters for trial, and strive for favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate within the team while maintaining autonomy over cases.
• Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.
