Tyson & Mendes is growing our Northern California team and seeks an experienced Senior Counsel in landlord tenant litigation based in Novato, handling matters across the Bay Area. Active California Bar license is required.

You will own cases from evaluation through resolution or trial and contribute to a collaborative civil defense practice with national backing. This role emphasizes strategic thinking, managing discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation, with opportunities to handle

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Licensed to practice in California.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience.
• Experience with discovery and trial preparation.
• Insurance defense experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong listening, verbal and written communication.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Develop a compelling case theme.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials.
• Work as part of a team with varied experience.
• Maintain routine client communications.
• Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients.
• Provide leadership to less experienced attorneys.
