Job summary

Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is seeking a Senior Litigation Technology Specialist to serve as a strategic technology partner to our litigation teams and support complex cases, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.

You will collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, IT professionals, and e-Discovery specialists to deliver innovative solutions, manage courtroom technology, and mentor junior staff across offices in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio, and Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in legal tech or related field.
• 5+ years in litigation support or legal technology in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Expertise with Trial Director and OnCue.
• Experience with Opus2, Page Vault, Relativity, and other litigation platforms.
• Willingness to travel and provide courtroom support as needed.
• Experience supporting high-profile matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead litigation technology initiatives from case prep through trial.
• Serve as the firm's SMEs for trial tech tools (Trial Director, OnCue, Opus2, Page Vault, Relativity).
• Coordinate courtroom tech and hands-on trial support including exhibit presentation.
• Develop multimedia trial presentations, synchronized deposition videos, demonstratives.
• Collaborate with e-Discovery & Litigation Support on data processing, review, production.
• Mentor Litigation Technology Specialists and establish best practices.
• Train attorneys and staff on technology solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and partner with vendors to enhance services.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead litigation technology initiatives from case preparation through trial
• Serve as the firm's subject matter expert for tools such as Trial Director, OnCue, Opus2, Page Vault, and emerging litigation technologies
• Coordinate courtroom technology and provide hands‑on trial support, including digital exhibit presentation and equipment setup
• Develop multimedia trial presentations, synchronized deposition videos, demonstratives, and digital evidence
• Partner with our e‑Discovery & Litigation Support team on technical aspects of data processing, review, and production
• Mentor Litigation Technology Specialists and help establish best practices and workflows
• Train attorneys and legal staff on litigation support tools and technology solutions
• Evaluate new technologies and collaborate with vendors to enhance litigation support services

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal technology, information systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of litigation support or legal technology experience in a law firm or legal department
• Expertise with trial presentation platforms such as Trial Director and OnCue
• Experience with Opus2, Page Vault, Relativity, and other litigation support technologies
• Strong understanding of the litigation process and e‑Discovery lifecycle
• Willingness to travel and provide courtroom support as needed
• Experience supporting complex, high-profile litigation matters
• Familiarity with CaseMap, Sanction, Everlaw, and other legal technology platforms
• Proven success delivering technology solutions in trial environments
