Job summary

DNA Partners in Chicago seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its Commercial Litigation practice. You will assist attorneys through every phase of litigation, from inception to appeal, handling pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.

The role involves managing case files, coordinating e‑discovery, researching issues, and preparing trial exhibits while using Relativity, TextMap, Westlaw, Lexis and MS Office. Office presence and travel for trials are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience supporting complex commercial litigation, products liability, mass tort, or IP matters.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, and trial prep.
• Experience with Relativity and TextMap for document review.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in the office and travel for trials.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys at all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, trial prep, and appeals.
• Prepare, file, and serve court documents in federal and state courts.
• Manage case files, pleadings, discovery materials, and databases.
• Coordinate document collection, review, production, and e‑discovery.
• Perform factual research and organize materials for hearings, depositions, and trial.
• Retrieve and analyze medical records and summarize case information.
• Draft subpoenas, deposition notices, witness lists, chronologies, and case summaries.
• Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, demonstratives, and deposition materials.
• Coordinate deposition and trial logistics, including travel and vendors.
• Attend trials and provide onsite courtroom support.
• Utilize Relativity, TextMap, Westlaw, Lexis, iManage, and MS Office.
