Job summary

Mike Morse Law Firm, Michigan’s leading personal injury firm, seeks an experienced Legal Secretary to join the litigation team. You will draft, file, and organize legal documents, manage attorney calendars, and coordinate court dates with meticulous attention to detail.

You’ll support case prep, discovery, and trial activities, serve as a primary contact for clients and courts, and contribute to a high‑performing team focused on delivering results and excellent service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in litigation support or legal secretary roles.
• Familiarity with Michigan No-Fault law and/or personal injury is a plus.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and civil litigation procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organization, time management, and client‑facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
• Manage complex attorney calendars and coordinate court dates, meetings, and deadlines.
• Organize and maintain client files—physical and digital—with attention to detail.
• Conduct legal research and assist with case prep, discovery, and trial support.
• Serve as the point of contact for clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
• Handle correspondence, schedule management, and administrative tasks.
• Assist with exhibit prep and trial notebooks for court appearances.
• E‑file with precision—proficient in M‑filing.
• Type quickly and accurately (65+ wpm preferred).
• Work as part of a high‑performing team delivering results.
