Job summary

Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLP in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of five years in civil litigation to join our office. This full-time, hourly, non-exempt role offers a hybrid schedule with eligibility to work remotely two days per week after the first 45 days.

The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys across a broad range of matters, including business, employment, and insurance litigation.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of civil litigation experience in a law firm.
• Strong e-discovery experience and document production management.
• Trial experience with pre-trial pleadings and during trial support.
• Experience supporting attorneys at depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of civil litigation matters including document management.
• Manage eDiscovery; data collection, processing, review and production.
• Use eDiscovery platforms to organize and analyze ESI.
• Review, redact, and prepare documents for production.
• Prepare exhibits and support court filings, depositions, and hearings.
• Provide trial preparation and courtroom logistics support.
• Summarize depositions and assist with discovery requests and responses.
• Analyze medical and billing records; prepare summaries with page references.
• Draft subpoenas and track document collection and responses.
• Coordinate with attorneys, staff, clients, courts and vendors.
