Job summary

Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLP seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal in Los Angeles, CA. The role requires a minimum of five years in civil litigation, with expertise in eDiscovery, document management, and trial support.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers a hybrid schedule, with eligibility to work remotely two days per week after the first 45 days of employment. The ideal candidate will handle multiple litigation matters, coordinate with attorneys, manage discovery, and ensure

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of civil litigation experience in a law firm environment.
• Strong background in e-discovery, including platform administration and document production management.
• Trial experience, including prep of pleadings, exhibits, and witness lists.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of civil litigation matters, including organization and review of client documents and case materials.
• Manage and support all phases of eDiscovery, including collection, processing, review, and production.
• Utilize eDiscovery platforms and legal tech to organize, search, analyze, review, and manage ESI and documents.
• Review, redact, and prepare documents for production with accuracy and compliance.
• Retrieve, organize, and prepare exhibits and supporting docs for filings, depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Provide comprehensive trial preparation and trial support, including exhibits and witness materials coordination.
• Review discovery materials, summarize depositions, and assist with discovery requests/responses.
• Analyze medical and billing records and prepare detailed summaries with page/line references.
• Draft subpoenas, coordinate collection/production, and track responses and deadlines.
• Assist with charting, case summaries, jurisdictional research, and information on expert witnesses.
• Maintain timely communication with attorneys, staff, clients, courts, and vendors to meet deadlines.
