Job summary

Plona Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to support trial teams with on-site and remote coordination, including out-of-state deployments. The role requires mastery of legal research, cite-checking, and drafting essential litigation documents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Paralegal Certification (California Business and Professional Code Sect. 6450 compliant)
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• High-level project management experience leading a support team at trial
• Proficient with Westlaw, Lexis, Relativity (or similar), CaseNotebook (or similar), Billing tools and case management tools
• Expert ability to draft common litigation forms and edit legal documents
• Expert cite-checking skills and the ability to produce accurate and timely cite-checks

Responsibilities

• Partner with case teams and other colleagues to address client needs
• Provide on-site support at trial (including out of state)
• Conduct cite checks on federal and state documents including substantive review for content
• Conduct legal research on procedural requirements, tracking court decisions, and related topics
• Provide motion and deposition support: prepare shell documents, deposition notices, subpoenas, and declarations; manage transcripts, exhibits, interviews, and filings

• MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Adobe Acrobat proficiency
• Westlaw, Lexis, Relativity, RingCentral, FileSite, iTimekeep or other related billing tool, Case Notebook or comparable software applications

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

• High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Paralegal Certification (California Business and Professional Code Sect. 6450 compliant).
