Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks a Senior Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of 10 years in defense litigation to support its California practice, spanning discovery through trial in a dynamic, hybrid setting in Irvine or DTLA.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of complex defense matters; you will draft discovery, manage calendars, prepare chronologies, and coordinate deposition and trial materials while partnering with attorneys to drive strategy

Qualifications

• 10+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Significant experience supporting California civil litigation.
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of discovery, document production, privilege, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Excellent organizational, research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of civil defense litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Draft written discovery, responses, objections, and meet-and-confer correspondence.
• Conduct document review and assist with document production and privilege logs.
• Prepare medical chronologies, billing summaries, and deposition summaries.
• Assist with deposition preparation and case strategy.
• Manage case files, evidence, deadlines, and litigation calendars.
• Prepare trial notebooks, witness and exhibit lists, exhibit binders, and trial materials.
• Assist attorneys during hearings and trials as needed.
• Anticipate case needs and independently manage assigned litigation responsibilities.

About The Opportunity
