Job summary

GLP Attorneys is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support Eastern Washington attorneys. This full-time role welcomes candidates statewide, with Spokane-area preference, and requires Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

You will manage client communication, organize case materials, and assist with trial preparation to keep cases moving forward. The ideal candidate has at least two years of litigation experience, experience in plaintiffs’ personal injury law, and a Bachelor's or paralegal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred; combination considered.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Proficiency in drafting and proofreading legal documents.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with attorneys and legal teams to support a litigation caseload.
  • Manage client communication and maintain relationships with clients, healthcare providers, and other involved parties.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and responses to discovery for attorney review.
  • Draft motions, responses, and replies, and assist with legal research and memoranda.
  • Maintain and organize case files, including pleadings and discovery.
  • Retain and coordinate with expert witnesses.
  • Review and evaluate medical records.
  • Prepare ER 904 and other trial documents.
  • Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trial.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume environment.
  • Exercise independent judgment to identify issues, recommend next steps, and support case strategy.

Position Overview: GLP Attorneys is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support our Eastern Washington attorneys. This is a full-time position open to candidates based anywhere in Washington State, with preference given to candidates who reside in Eastern Washington, and more specifically in or near the Spokane area, who are able to frequent the Spokane office as needed. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Litigation Paralegal will provide comprehensive support throughout the litigation process, including managing client communication, drafting legal documents, organizing case materials, and supporting cases before and during trial. This role plays an important part in keeping cases organized, on track, and moving forward through the litigation process.

This position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload. The Litigation Paralegal will support multiple legal teams by assisting with complex litigated personal injury cases as they are prepared for trial, and by providing support to the trial team when cases proceed to trial. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to anticipate case needs, and comfortable adapting in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

In this position, you will:

Qualified candidates should have experience, including:

  • A minimum of two years of litigation experience.
  • Experience in plaintiffs’ personal injury law.
  • Litigation and trial experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in drafting and proofreading legal documents.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently, identify and resolve problems, and effectively prioritize competing responsibilities.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing medical records and working with expert witnesses.

Compensation and Benefits: The hourly base pay range for this position is $30.00 to $45.00 per hour. Compensation is determined using local, national, and industry-specific data and is based on location.It will be adjusted based on experience, education, and skills of the selected candidate.
