Proficiency in PerfectLaw and MS Office is essential for managing documents, calendars, and filings with state and federal courts. The role emphasizes client communication, accuracy, and efficiency in a modern law firm setting on the Riverwalk

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of litigation legal assistant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must be a self-starter, professional, and team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and related tools.
• Familiarity with electronic filings with governmental entities and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize, track, and maintain original documents and electronic files in PerfectLaw.
• Schedule meetings, deadlines, and maintain attorney calendars.
• Administrative operations such as trust deposits; check requests and expense reimbursement.
• File documents with courts or other government entities.
• Compile legal documents for transmission to clients.
• Perform initial assessment of project/matter deliverables and requirements.
• Drafting, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents.
• Compose correspondence requiring discretion and judgment.
• Track status of tasks and documents requiring action.
• Contact state and federal agencies.
• Regularly communicate with clients.
