Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist with incoming requested court filings.
  • Review legal documents to identify deadlines for Federal, State, and Appellate Courts.
  • Make entries of litigation deadlines into the docketing database following docketing procedures.
  • Generate docket reports and respond to queries as requested by attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
  • Monitor cases with various online resources and distribute documents to case teams.
  • Handle all case team inquiries and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with team review and training by providing feedback and updates as needed.
  • Process incoming litigation matters from various courts/agencies.
  • Lead multiple high-complexity projects assigned by manager.
  • Maintain and enforce Litigation Docketing Team protocols.
  • Assist the Litigation Docketing Manager with other duties as needed.

The Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist role supports multi-jurisdictional litigation docketing for a national firm. The position reports to the Litigation Docketing Manager and is client-focused and detail-oriented. It is a fast-paced role, assigned to 20+ filings/day and 6+ attorney requests. We operate in over 100 jurisdictions, so familiarity with local rules and research is important. Rulings and filings differ by jurisdiction, requiring good information retention. This position is in-person Monday - Friday for the first 90 days, with a transition to a hybrid role (in-office 2+ days/week) after the first 90 days.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and assist with incoming requested court filings
  • Review legal documents to identify deadlines for Federal, State, and Appellate Courts
