Amazon.com Services LLC's legal department seeks a smart, experienced litigator to manage its worldwide portfolio of commercial litigation disputes. You'll handle novel legal issues arising from new technologies across a broad spectrum of litigation.

The role involves designing strategy, overseeing outside counsel, and advising leadership on risks and opportunities, while collaborating with policy and public relations teams to minimize litigation risk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-bar litigation experience.
• JD and bar membership in one state.
• Experience building case strategies aligned with business goals.
• Ability to distill complex issues into business guidance.
• Familiarity with internet, software, and media industries and related regulations.
• Knowledge of ethical considerations around AI in the legal context.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement litigation strategy for cases.
• Select, manage, and improve the performance of outside counsel.
• Advise leadership on legal risks and opportunities.
• Work with witnesses and data repositories to prepare for trial.
• Coordinate with public policy and public relations teams on litigation matters.
• Design and implement innovative processes for high-velocity decisions at scale.
• Provide daily cross-functional leadership on diverse legal issues.
