About Our Group

Seagate’s Legal Team is composed of smart, dynamic, motivated, diverse, and collaborative professionals located worldwide. We are a cross-functional team with expertise in various legal specialties to assist the business in navigating complex legal and operational environments globally.

We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our Litigation Group. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex legal challenges requiring innovative, strategic counsel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience representing technology companies in litigation and dispute resolution across jurisdictions, with expertise in investigation and regulatory compliance preferred.

About The Role - You Will
  • Manage litigation, disputes, and investigations related to intellectual property, licensing, contracts, class actions, antitrust, trade regulation, securities, insurance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI issues in domestic and international venues.
  • Handle day-to-day legal issues such as responses to subpoenas, third-party demands, indemnification requests, ethics inquiries, data exfiltration, and commercial disputes.
  • Develop and implement resolution strategies aligned with Seagate’s interests, corporate goals, and budget considerations.
  • Provide proactive legal advice to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals, paralegals, and external advisors to deliver comprehensive legal services.
  • Understand Seagate’s business and technology to provide relevant legal support.
About You

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of confidently presenting to executive leadership.
  • Experience managing external legal resources effectively.
  • Highly organized, resilient, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Your Experience Includes
  • Substantive experience in litigation, arbitration, mediation, investigations, and settlement; drafting and negotiating agreements; advising clients.
  • Experience with antitrust, competition law, securities, international trade, export controls, anti-corruption laws, cybersecurity, data breaches, and privacy.
  • Willingness and ability to work with AI technologies.
  • Active bar membership, preferably in Colorado or Minnesota.
  • Juris Doctorate with at least 8+ years of legal practice, including law firm and in-house experience.

The estimated base salary range is $137,400 - $200,200, depending on location, skills, experience, and education. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits including bonuses, insurance, 401(k), stock plans, paid time off, and parental leave.

This position is remote within specified US states, with up to 10% travel.
