Job summary

SiriusXM is seeking an Associate General Counsel - Litigation in New York to lead complex litigation and pre-litigation matters for SiriusXM and Pandora. You will coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to drive enterprise litigation strategy and risk management.

The role requires a JD, at least 8 years of experience, and a track record in civil procedure, regulatory investigations, and high-stakes negotiations. You will manage budgets and advise senior leadership on legal strategy.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Experience leading complex or precedent-setting litigation and regulatory matters.
• Ability to advise senior leadership and drive enterprise legal strategy.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, regulatory investigations and dispute resolution.
• Experience managing outside counsel and litigation budgets.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters from assessment to resolution.
• Develop strategies to minimize risk and protect the company.
• Oversee discovery, depositions, motions, and trial prep with external counsel.
• Evaluate settlements and advise leadership on risk.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for cost-efficient case management.
• Advise on best practices to prevent litigation and regulatory non-compliance.
• Lead enterprise litigation strategy and governance standards.
• Represent SiriusXM in mediations, arbitrations and negotiations.
