Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to advise on litigation exposure and strategy for a major fashion/lifestyle client. Located in NYC with hybrid work (3 days on-site), the role involves supervising outside counsel and guiding litigation budgets in alignment with business priorities.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, managing eDiscovery, and advising stakeholders on risk. The role requires a JD and active license; in-house experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and licensed to practice law.
• Significant litigation experience across a broad range of disputes.
• Experience overseeing outside counsel and managing litigation strategy and budgets.
• 3+ years of in-house legal experience preferred.

• Oversee outside counsel, ensuring strategy, budgets, and approaches align with business priorities.

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlements, administrative submissions, releases and related documents.
• Lead litigation processes, including preservation obligations, holds, eDiscovery collection and production.
• Support Legal leadership on policy development, investigations, cross-functional projects and industry developments.

Axiom is seeking a Senior Litigation Counsel to support our client, a large fashion/lifestyle company. In this role, you will advise business stakeholders on litigation exposure, risk, and resolution strategy while overseeing outside counsel and managing key litigation processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation across regulatory, employment and wage-and-hour, commercial, intellectual property and brand protection, privacy/TCPA, and personal injury matters.
• Partner with and oversee outside counsel, ensuring strategy, budgets, and approaches align with business priorities.
• Advise business stakeholders on litigation exposure, risk, resolution strategies, and practical risk mitigation.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, administrative submissions, settlement agreements, releases, arbitration agreements, waivers, and related documents.
• Lead litigation processes, including preservation obligations, litigation holds, eDiscovery collection, review, and production.
• Support Legal Department leadership on policy development, internal investigations, special initiatives, cross-functional projects, and relevant legal and industry developments.

Qualifications:

• Significant litigation experience managing a broad range of disputes.
• Experience overseeing outside counsel and managing litigation strategy and budgets.
• Experience advising business stakeholders on litigation exposure, risk, and resolution.
• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.

Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years of in-house legal experience preferred.

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
