Job summary

Orion Placement in Los Angeles is seeking an attorney to join a well-established civil litigation firm with decades of courtroom experience across state and federal courts in Southern California. You will manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution, appearing in court and conducting site inspections as needed to support insurance defense and civil matters.

Draft pleadings and motions with precision, develop strategy with senior attorneys, and maintain proactive client communication

Qualifications

• 1+ years of trial experience — required
• Trial experience — required
• Strong analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while collaborating within a team
• Comfortable with in-person court appearances and site visits throughout the LA area

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including insurance defense and civil matters
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials throughout the Los Angeles area
• Conduct site inspections, witness interviews, and case investigations as needed
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents with precision and efficiency
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with senior attorneys and clients
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients throughout the lifecycle of each matter
• Apply construction defect defense knowledge where applicable (a strong differentiator for this role)
