Job summary

Ascendion invites an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a respected Southern California law firm with a robust trusts and estates practice. The role focuses on handling trust, estate, probate, fiduciary, and civil litigation matters from inception through trial.

Active California Bar membership is required. The firm offers comprehensive benefits, and salary ranges from $150,000 to $265,000 base, with geography and experience shaping pay. Irvine, California is the preferred office location.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California Bar.
• Trust & Estate Litigation experience preferred but not required.
• Strong civil litigation and/or trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range trust, estate, probate, fiduciary, and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution and trial.
• Represent clients in will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary duty claims, estate administration disputes, and related litigation matters.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research, depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Develop litigation strategies and independently manage cases while working closely with clients and the legal team.
• Appear in court and handle matters through trial when appropriate.

We’re seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a respected law firm with a strong litigation practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with a background in trusts and estates litigation, probate disputes, fiduciary litigation, or civil litigation who is interested in handling sophisticated and complex legal matters. The firm is open to experienced civil litigators who have strong trust and estate experience and an interest in expanding into trust and estate litigation.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $265,000 base. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
