Synectics Inc. is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of civil litigation experience to lead a substantial docket of complex commercial matters.

The role offers trial exposure, potential leadership opportunities, and equity ownership prospects within the firm’s civil litigation practice. You will manage cases from filing through settlement or trial, handling motions, depositions, and negotiations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil litigation experience required.
• Substantial experience taking and defending depositions, including expert and corporate representative depositions.
• Significant motion practice, contested hearings, mediation, and first or second chair trial experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, and case management skills.
• Active law license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare matters for trial, serve as first or second chair, negotiate with opposing counsel, manage discovery, mentor junior attorneys, and help improve firm litigation systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Independently manage a substantial docket of complex commercial litigation matters from filing through settlement or trial.
• Draft and argue substantive, procedural, evidentiary, and discovery motions; handle contested hearings and mediations.
• Take and defend depositions involving experts, corporate representatives, property owners, and fact witnesses.
• Work closely with appraisal, valuation, and other experts while preparing clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.

• Significant motion practice, contested hearing, mediation, and first or second chair trial experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, and case management skills with the ability to work independently.
