Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an experienced litigator to join our Atlanta office in the Global Insurance Department. The successful candidate will handle sophisticated, high-exposure litigation involving property and casualty claims, transportation and trucking matters, and environmental and toxic tort matters for insurers and commercial clients.

Ideal candidates have a J.D., Georgia bar admission or eligibility, and 8+ years of complex civil litigation experience, with strong written and oral

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Georgia Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.
• 8+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex civil litigation matters through all phases of litigation.
• Significant deposition, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation experience.
• Experience representing insurance carriers, transportation companies, or other commercial entities is preferred.
• Experience with insurance coverage litigation, transportation and trucking matters, environmental litigation, toxic torts, or complex casualty claims is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and client counseling abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to client service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a substantial litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Represent insurers, corporations, and other commercial clients in complex litigation matters.
• Defend and advise clients in property and casualty, transportation, commercial, and environmental litigation.
• Take and defend fact witness, corporate representative, and expert depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions and other substantive filings.
• Work closely with experts, consultants, and clients to develop case strategy.
• Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and legal staff.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on complex national matters.
