Nexreq, a full-service law firm in Rhode Island, seeks a Senior Litigation Associate to manage complex civil matters from inception to resolution. You will develop case strategy, draft motions, handle discovery, and coordinate with clients and partners to ensure steady progress.

You will supervise junior attorneys and support staff, mentor colleagues, and ensure compliance with professional conduct rules in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifikationen

• Strong foundation in substantive and procedural law with civil litigation experience.
• Ability to draft, analyze, and argue motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Advanced research skills including case law, statutes, and court rules.
• Experience in depositions, hearings, trials, and settlement conferences.
• Excellent writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and client communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Handle complex civil litigation matters from inception to resolution, including strategy development.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery; conduct and defend depositions; appear in state and federal courts.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff; collaborate with partners on case strategy.
• Maintain direct client communication regarding case progress and expectations.
• Manage deadlines, negotiate settlements when appropriate, ensure compliance with professional conduct rules.
