Oculus Group's Premier Legal division is partnering with an established national law firm seeking two experienced commercial-defense litigators to join its San Francisco practice.

These opportunities are open to attorneys at the Senior Associate or Of Counsel level who bring a strong civil litigation background and experience working with insurance carriers.

The positions offer substantive litigation responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative national practice.

Experience across all listed practice areas is not required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Handle complex civil and commercial defense litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in trial preparation and trial proceedings.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and insurance carriers, as applicable.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 5-7+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Commercial-defense litigation background.
• Experience working with insurance carriers.
• Strong legal research, writing, discovery, and deposition experience.
• Experience in state and federal courts preferred.
• Ability to independently manage substantive litigation responsibilities and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is relevant:

• General liability
• Professional liability
• Product liability
• Real estate and HOA litigation
• Mass torts or class actions
