Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Senior Associate, Liquidity Risk in New York City to provide independent oversight of liquidity risk management and to help strengthen risk governance across Corporate Treasury, Finance, and other risk teams.

You will develop risk frameworks, perform data‑driven analyses, and create new tools using SQL, Python, and visualization software to monitor metrics and support leadership with clear, actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, finance, economics, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in liquidity risk or related financial risk in banking or financial services.
• Familiarity with funding, cash flow projections, deposit modeling, liquidity metrics, and stress testing.
• Experience building and maintaining risk frameworks and collaborating with partners.

Responsibilities

• Providing independent oversight of liquidity risk management through review and challenge informed by technical analysis and risk appetite.
• Engaging with Corporate Treasury, Finance, Businesses, and other Risk teams to identify solutions for Client and Enterprise Platforms.
• Supporting senior management to develop and maintain liquidity risk frameworks, including risk identification and limit design.
• Creating tools and processes leveraging AI, automation, and technology to improve risk measurement and monitoring.
• Delivering presentations to senior leadership on risk analysis and changes in risk metrics.
