Job summary
Insight Global is seeking a Principal Engineer, Linux & Virtualization Infrastructure to lead technical initiatives across Linux, virtualization, storage, and networking. This hands-on role focuses on delivering scalable infrastructure, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting highly available production systems.
The ideal candidate will drive architecture, partner with stakeholders, and manage implementation efforts while providing ongoing operational support for critical infrastructure
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with enterprise Linux and virtualization platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise storage and data center infrastructure.
- Strong communication and hands-on project leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale infrastructure projects from requirements to design and handoff.
- Develop architecture diagrams and implementation strategies for infra initiatives.
- Design, deploy, and support enterprise Linux environments.
- Engineer and maintain virtualization platforms and related infra.
- Support storage solutions and related technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
