Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Linux Enterprise System Administrator in Chantilly, VA to maintain and secure Linux systems and NetApp storage within secure program areas. You will install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Linux, automation tooling, and collaborate with engineering and security teams.

Required: TS/SCI clearance, 4+ years Linux/NetApp admin experience, Bachelor’s degree (or higher), 20% travel. Overtime support and lifting up to 50 lbs may be needed; competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with at least 2 years experience
• Four years of Linux and/or NetApp systems administration experience
• Two years of VMware or similar virtualization solutions experience
• One year of Ansible Automation experience
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS, NetApp storage, networking, scripting (PowerShell/Bash), and security best practices
• Current/active TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph required
• DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher cert (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CISSP) preferred
• Overtime support and ability to lift equipment (50 lbs)
• Up to 20% offsite travel
• Experience with Nessus, Windows DFS, AD, Commvault, and RMF is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, troubleshoot Linux systems in secure program areas
• Install, patch, upgrade, and maintain Linux and NetApp storage units
• Develop scripts and tools for deployment automation to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering to deliver tailored technical solutions
• Communicate complex technical issues clearly to management and security teams
• Lead IT projects at the local level
• Support security and compliance requirements including vulnerability remediation
