Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Senior Specialist, System Administrator to maintain Linux systems and NetApp storage in secure program areas. You will implement updates, patching, and troubleshooting, while leading IT projects and communicating with engineering and security teams.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 4–6+ years' related experience, VMware and Ansible proficiency, and strong Linux/NetApp expertise. Willingness to travel up to 20% and lift 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; Graduate Degree with 4+ years; In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of related experience.
• Four years Linux and NetApp systems administration experience.
• Two years VMware or similar virtualization experience.
• One year Ansible Automation.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS, NetApp storage, networking, PowerShell or Bash, and security best practices.
• Current/active TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph required.
• CompTIA Security+, CISSP or DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, and support Linux systems and NetApp storage in secure program areas.
• Lead IT projects at the local level and communicate technical issues to management and security teams.
• Develop scripts and tools for deployment automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Support overtime as needed and lift equipment (50 lbs).
• Travel up to 20% offsite.
