Job summary

You will maintain Linux server environments (CentOS/RedHat), monitor with Nagios, manage VMware infrastructure, and develop automation scripts to ensure reliability and scale.

Qualifications include 5+ years of production Linux experience, scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl, PHP), and solid security, backup, and disaster recovery knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Linux environment management.
• Experience with CentOS/RedHat and scale in data-center environments.
• Experience with VMware, Nagios, and automation tooling.
• Scripting in Shell, Python, Perl or PHP for automation.
• Strong security/hardening practices for high-value systems.
• Collaborative, capable of release management in a shared dev environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Linux server operating systems and uptime.
• Plan and execute Linux upgrades and patches.
• Design solutions for new systems and infrastructure changes.
• Monitor critical systems and take corrective actions.
• Prepare disaster recovery plans and verify backups.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware failures and network issues.
• Establish and maintain security controls and hardening.
• Develop automation scripts for consistency across environments.
• Collaborate with vendors for support and deployments.
