Job summary

Vibrint is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Linux infrastructure across DevOps and live environments, including Kubernetes and virtualization platforms. You will work on a combined government and contractor team with access to sensitive networks and mission-critical systems.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph. You will collaborate across teams to sustain secure backend services and enable mission users with reliable access and systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux administration experience supporting physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Solid experience implementing DISA STIG compliance on Linux systems.
• Experience supporting Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Salt.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, Perl, etc.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Proxmox).
• Experience with IP networking and firewalls.
• Some experience with containerized and cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate across combined government and contractor teams.
• Current IAT Level II certification.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Educational path options: HS +14y, Bachelors +10y, or Masters +8y.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and sustain Linux physical servers and VMs for DevOps and live systems.
• Maintain backend services for mission users, including authentication, DNS, shared drives, and home dirs.
• Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Automate system configuration with Ansible or Salt.
• Develop scripts in Bash, Python, Perl or similar.
• Configure virtualization platforms (VMware, Red Hat KVM, Proxmox).
• Apply Linux security configurations and DISA STIG compliance.
• Troubleshoot networking and firewall issues affecting connectivity.
• Support cloud environments and integration with existing infra.
• Review monitoring and Jira tickets and coordinate resolutions.
