Job summary

Vibrint seeks a Systems Engineer to support Linux infrastructure across DevOps and live operations, including VMware, KVM, and Proxmox environments. You will automate tasks with Ansible/Salt and develop scripts to sustain secure backend services for mission users across on-premises and cloud setups.

The role requires active TS/SCI with polygraph and IAT Level II, with education/experience combos to match senior engineering expectations.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux administration experience across physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Solid experience implementing STE/STN requirements and DISA STIG on Linux.
• Experience supporting Kubernetes environments.
• Experience using Ansible or Salt for automation.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience administering virtualization platforms such as VMware, Red Hat KVM, Proxmox.
• IP networking and firewall experience.
• Some experience with containerized and cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate across a combined government and contractor team.
• Current IAT Level II certification.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Education/experience combinations: HS diploma +14 yrs; Bachelor's +10 yrs; Master's +8 yrs.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and sustain Linux servers and VMs supporting DevOps and live systems.
• Maintain backend services including authentication, DNS, shared drives, and home directories.
• Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Automate system configuration with Ansible or Salt.
• Develop scripts using Bash, Python, Perl, etc.
• Configure virtualization platforms (VMware, Red Hat KVM, Proxmox).
• Apply Linux security configurations and DISA STIG compliance.
• Troubleshoot IP networking and firewall issues affecting connectivity.
• Support cloud environments and integration with existing infrastructure.
• Review monitoring and mission updates, coordinate with government and contractor teams.
