Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions in San Diego, CA seeks a Senior Linux System Administrator to join a large DoD program. You will install, configure, and maintain Linux systems, and support LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure secure network availability.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years (or 6 years with an Associate, or 8 years with no degree), active Secret/Top Secret clearance, Security+ certification, and strong Linux experience.

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience, Associates with 6 years, or 8 years without a degree.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Security+ Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support LAN/WAN and Internet systems or a segment of a network.
• Monitor network to ensure availability for all users and perform maintenance as needed.
• Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network hardware and software.
• Administer network security measures.
