Job summary

Bridge Defense seeks a highly qualified Linux Systems Administrator to support CDS at the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center in Monterey, CA. The role requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility, strong RHEL expertise, and Apache NiFi knowledge to maintain secure, mission-critical systems.

The successful candidate will perform CDS administration, monitoring, and documentation, with occasional after-hours support and travel as needed to ensure robust, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• BS in Computer Science or CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux training and 3+ years RHEL admin experience.
• Experience with Apache NiFi components and configuration.
• Experience securing Linux systems using STIGs and scanners.
• Ability to draft technical documentation for varied readers.

Responsibilities

• On-site administration of the CDS environment at FNMOC in Monterey, CA.
• Regular CDS maintenance, reviews, and updates.
• System monitoring, log management, and issue response.
• User account management and data flow administration.
• Provide after-hours support as needed with coordination.
