Job summary

Bridge Defense seeks a highly qualified Linux System Administrator to support the CDS environment at FNMOC in Monterey, CA. The role requires TS/SCI eligibility and hands-on Red Hat Linux administration to ensure secure, reliable operation of critical systems.

you will monitor, maintain, and secure the CDS environment, handle log management, system provisioning, and after-hours support as needed. Strong documentation and cross-team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• B.S. in Computer Science or CompTIA Security+ certification.
• 3+ years of Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
• Experience with Apache NiFi components and configuration.
• Experience securing Linux systems using STIGs and vulnerability scanners.
• Experience provisioning Linux systems and operational testing.

Responsibilities

• On-site work at Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC), Monterey, CA.
• Monitor and maintain the CDS environment; perform regular reviews and updates.
• Provide after-hours support as needed for CDS operations.
• Tasking includes system monitoring, log management, maintenance, and security.
• Develop runbooks and technical documentation for users and operators.
