Job summary

Take2 Consulting, LLC is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator II to support a mission-focused federal environment. You will join a small, highly technical Linux team responsible for designing, maintaining, automating, and troubleshooting Linux systems across multiple networks and architectures in a hybrid cloud environment.

This role emphasizes hands-on Linux administration, automation, mentoring junior staff, and collaboration across engineering and operations teams, with DoD-level security

Qualifications

• 10 years of Systems Administration experience in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; five additional years of Systems Administration experience may substitute for the degree.
• Strong hands-on Linux administration: configuration, patching, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Hands-on scripting and automation experience with Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
• Minimum DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively on a small technical team, mentor junior staff, and communicate issues clearly.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, patch, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux systems across multiple environments.
• Create, debug, and implement automation using Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
• Help design technical solutions and Linux architecture to meet mission requirements.
• Partner with diverse engineering and operations teams to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reliability and efficiency.
• Communicate technical issues clearly with team members, service owners, and stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior administrators in a collaborative, small-team environment.
