Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator with a focus on automation and orchestration to join our National Security Solutions team. Your work will support critical defense networks and ensure robust, automated infrastructure across distributed test environments.

You will design, deploy, and maintain Linux-centric server architectures, streamline Ansible-based provisioning, and enforce DISA STIG/RMF compliance across TRMC and JMETC networks, including JSN/JMN nodes and SDREN/DREN.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• 10+ years in Systems Administrator or Systems Engineering roles.
• Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9), storage (LVM), systemd, firewalld, SELinux, and Bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience developing, testing, and debugging Ansible playbooks and automation workflows.
• Proven virtualization experience, preferably VMware vSphere/vCenter.
• DoD RMF-compliant environments and DISA STIG automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Linux Engineering & Administration for enterprise distributions (RHEL/ Rocky/ CentOS) across bare-metal and virtualized environments.
• Develop, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles for provisioning, hardening, patching, and drift remediation.
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker/Podman and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Automate DISA STIG implementation and audit verification across Linux & app stacks.
• Manage software repositories, updates, and image baselines with Red Hat Satellite or Foreman.
• Administer virtualization/storage/networking in a heterogeneous environment including Windows services.
• Maintain RMF cybersecurity directives, centralized logging, and SBOM-ready configurations.
• Create SOPs and diagrams to document architecture and operations.
