Nyla Technology Solutions is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator & Automation Engineer to join a small, capable team. The role focuses on designing architectures, automating tasks, and solving complex infrastructure challenges across networks in a hybrid cloud environment.

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

We are looking for an innovative, motivated Linux Systems Administrator & Automation Engineer to join a small, tight-knit, and talented team operating in a hybrid cloud environment. In this role, you won't just be maintaining systems; you’ll actively help design architectures, engineer automated solutions, and tackle complex infrastructure challenges across multiple networks and environments. The annual base salary range for this role is $159,000-$188,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

Required Skills

• Linux Administration: Deep hands-on experience configuring, patching, hardening, monitoring, and troubleshooting Linux instances across diverse architectures.
• Automation & Scripting: Strong experience writing, debugging, and implementing production automation scripts using Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Proven ability to partner across multidisciplinary teams to diagnose issues, resolve complex technical challenges, and communicate transparently with service owners.
• Mentorship & Growth: A self-motivated mindset with a genuine desire to continuously learn new technologies and mentor junior team members.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 10+ years of professional software development experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 15+ years of hands-on technical software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills

• Experience designing, deploying, or managing cloud environments in AWS, specifically utilizing EC2 Auto Scaling.
• Hands-on proficiency with aws-cli and boto3 for automated AWS resource management.
