Neya, based near Pittsburgh, PA, is hiring a Senior IT Systems Administrator to manage Linux-based infrastructure and Windows-11 developer fleets via WSL, aligning with CMMC requirements. The role emphasizes hands-on Linux, security, and collaboration with engineering teams in a hybrid environment.

Required are 8+ years in IT with 5+ in senior Linux roles, plus strong scripting and virtualization skills. U.S. citizenship is required. Salary ranges are provided with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, or another IT-related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior Linux Systems Administrator role.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu/Debian).
• Strong experience with Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
• Proficiency with configuration management tools and Gitlab, VCS, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) and security best practices.
• Virtualization/containers (VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting in Bash or Python.
• Security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001; security audits and remediation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Linux Administration: design, provision, configure, and maintain Linux server/workstation fleet; lead incident response and troubleshooting.
• Security & Compliance: implement and enforce security controls per CMMC; audit readiness and STIG configurations.
• Network Management: configure and secure routers, switches, firewalls; manage VPNs and monitoring tools.
• Automation: develop and maintain scripts/tools (Ansible, Puppet) to streamline IT operations.
• Collaboration: work with engineering to support IT needs and development environments.
• Documentation: create and maintain detailed IT process docs and runbooks.
• Assists with special projects and assignments as needed.
