Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a System Administrator with deep Linux, Kubernetes, and Ansible expertise to support mission-critical networks for the warfighter. You’ll manage infrastructure, ensure security and performance, and translate complex requirements into client-ready solutions.

You will lead efforts in automation, cluster management, and CI/CD integration, mentoring teammates and modernizing the network to deliver reliable service and added capabilities for our government clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Linux administration.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with STIG hardening, SELinux or FApolicyd, and managing secrets and certificates.
• Knowledge of IT networking and security concepts.
• Ability to use troubleshooting tools such as netstat, tcpdump, traceroute, and ping to isolate network problems.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into solutions for clients and engineers.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize infrastructure and be responsible for architecture, security and performance of systems and containerized environments.
• Provide customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
• Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network and translate metrics into actionable information.
• Grow skillset into automation logic, cluster management, workload management, and CI/CD integration.
• Lead and mentor the team, sharing expertise and helping develop new methodologies.
• Modernize the network to help clients achieve their goals and bring additional capabilities for the warfighter.
