Job summary

V2X Inc in Colorado Springs is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, test, and sustain distributed, mission-critical software on Linux, with strong C++/Java/Python skills.

You will build containerized apps using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, contribute to CI/CD, and collaborate across systems, network, and hardware teams to deliver robust radar and mission support software.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong background in software engineering for distributed, real-time systems.
• Proficiency with C++, Java, Python or similar languages and Linux environments.
• Experience containerizing apps with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, document, and sustain software for distributed, mission-critical systems.
• Develop software primarily for Linux-based environments using approved languages.
• Build and maintain containerized applications and services using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or comparable tech.
• Develop health, telemetry, monitoring, logging, and audit capabilities for software services.
• Develop automation for deployment, config, validation, health checks, patching, and sustainment.
• Translate requirements into software requirements, user stories, interfaces, and verification criteria.
• Define interfaces and data exchanges to support modularity and interoperability.
• Perform unit, integration, regression, and system testing; support root-cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, source control, artifact repos, tests, and releases.
• Produce design docs, interface docs, test procedures, and technical reports.
