Job summary

V2X, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join the Ground-Based Radar Development (GBRD) team.

You will design and implement cybersecurity controls across development labs, integration environments, and operational radar sites, focusing on Linux/Windows hardening, vulnerability remediation, and secure deployment of containerized services. The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering, DoD experience, and the ability to work across software, network, systems, and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• An advanced degree in a related discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
• Additional directly relevant cybersecurity engineering experience may be considered in place of a degree or generalized experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and architecture of a cybersecurity system to support a radar modernization effort.
• Implement cybersecurity controls and technical safeguards for Linux and Windows servers, workstations, virtualized environments, containers, and networked devices.
• Apply secure baselines, patching, account controls, logging, and vulnerability remediation under guidance.
• Configure and maintain security logging, telemetry, and monitoring tools.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and compliance checks with approved tools.
• Support Risk Management Framework activities and documentation.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans, POAs/MRs, and related artifacts.
• Integrate security checks into software and platform delivery workflows (SBOMs, CI/CD security).
• Support secure deployment of containerized applications in lab and field environments.
• Assist with security test planning, vulnerability assessments, and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot findings with cross-functional teams and document fixes.
• Support site acceptance tests at laboratories and radar locations.
• Maintain configuration-controlled cybersecurity procedures and records.
• Assist incident response with logs and evidence collection.
• Provide status on risks, issues, and remediation to stakeholders.
• Occasional travel (CONUS/OCONUS/Remote) may be required.
