Job summary

The State of Oregon's Department of Administrative Services is seeking a Senior Linux Server Engineer (Information Systems Specialist 8) to join the Data Center Services team. You will deploy, secure, and manage Linux servers across the enterprise, using Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, Terraform, and GitHub workflows to automate life-cycle management.

Qualifications

• Seven years of information systems experience in Linux administration.
• An associate degree in Computer Science/IT or a two-year accredited IT program, OR a bachelor's degree with Linux experience.
• Master's degree with one year of Linux experience also qualifies and demonstrates advanced knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support for installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Linux servers.
• Leverage automation tools such as Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, Terraform, and GitHub-based workflows for deployment and lifecycle management.
• Support more than 150 state agencies with reliable IT services in hosted and DCS-managed cloud environments.
