Job summary

Everfox is seeking a full-time software engineer to join our hybrid team in Salt Lake City, focusing on building a scalable Linux-based container platform for enterprise security products. You will design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deliver robust solutions in an Agile environment with emphasis on container tech and Linux fundamentals.

The ideal candidate has a strong Linux background and 4+ years in container tech, 3+ years with Kubernetes, and 5+ years on Red Hat Enterprise Linux,

Qualifications

• BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or equivalent work experience.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management skills and able to take initiative and work independently on concurrent projects.
• 4+ years of professional experience using container technologies to build, deploy, maintain, or administer containers in a production environment.
• 3+ years of professional experience building, maintain, or administering Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.
• 5+ years of professional experience administering and/or developing applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This includes; Demonstrable coding/scripting experience in Bash. A solid understanding and experience using the Linux command line and its associated tools and utilities. A solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts. Experience with server virtualization systems such as VMware ESXi/vSphere. Experience with Ansible and familiarity with YAML and JSON. Experience deploying applications to AWS and/or Azure in a production environment (compute, storage, networking, image creation, etc.) If needed, ability to pass a government background check

• Remaining up to date on current best practices, trends, and industry developments and actively sharing that knowledge with other team members.
• Verifying product features are thoroughly implemented, ensuring all requirements are met, using robust technical solutions and high-quality coding standards.
