Job summary

Everfox is hiring a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role emphasizes security, scalability, and high performance for mission-critical applications.

The candidate should have deep expertise in firewall technologies and enterprise networking, with a blend of datacenter and cloud experience, and will work in a hybrid setup with 2–3 days on-site in Salt Lake City, UT.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Expertise with firewall configuration and rule management.
• Strong datacenter switching, routing, and network segmentation experience.
• Cloud networking experience in AWS/Azure/GCP (VPCs, VPNs, routing tables, security groups).
• Proficiency with networking protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLAN, VXLAN, IPsec, DNS.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network topologies in hybrid (on-prem and cloud) environments.
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise firewall solutions with focus on security and segmentation.
• Collaborate with security, systems, and DevOps teams to support mission-critical applications.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and configuration management.
• Lead root cause analysis of network-related issues and outages.
• Contribute to documentation, diagrams, and runbooks for operational excellence.
• Support compliance initiatives through secure architecture and audit preparation.
