Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Linux Engineer for a major server migration project in Salt Lake City. You will plan and execute migrations of ESXi hosts and VMs, configure iSCSI networks, and manage LVM-based storage provisioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science or engineering; 4+ years hands-on experience in a relevant role.
Experience leading or participating in large-scale data center or server migration projects (P2V, V2V, site-to-site).
Deep understanding of Linux OS internals and compute environments.

Responsibilities

Own and engineer the Linux compute platform during server migration projects, ensuring stability, security, and performance.
Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end server migrations from source to target data centers.
Migrate VMware ESXi environments, including vMotion, Storage vMotion, and cross-site migrations with minimal downtime.
