Job summary

Leidos in the Lorton, Virginia area seeks a Linux Engineer to maintain a Red Hat Enterprise Linux infrastructure supporting multiple network enclaves and DHS networks. You will manage monthly patching, vulnerability scanning, STIG compliance, and collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and engineers to support mission needs.

The role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and experience across classified and unclassified environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field and 12-15 years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI government clearance and the ability to obtain DHS EOD.
• 10+ years hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, configuration, troubleshooting, hardening, and lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting Linux systems across multiple enclaves or classification levels, including classified and unclassified networks.
• Experience administering Red Hat Satellite Server, including repository management, content views, lifecycle environments, host collections, activation keys, subscriptions, provisioning, and patch deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Red Hat Satellite Server infrastructure for Linux systems across enclaves and classification levels.
• Plan and execute monthly patch cycles using Red Hat Satellite Server with validation, deployment, and reporting.
• Manage Satellite Server content views, lifecycle environments, activation keys, subscriptions, and patch baselines.
• Maintain Linux systems across multiple enclaves with proper separation, compliance, and readiness.
• Ensure Linux adherence to STIG compliance through regular assessments, audits, and remediation.
