Job summary

Flash Technology Group seeks an experienced Application Engineer IV to manage production Linux VMs, Kubernetes clusters, and PKI/certificate lifecycle across OpenStack, VMware, and AWS environments.

The role requires active TS/SCI with polygraph and strong automation using Ansible, plus hands-on experience with NiFi, Rancher, and secure system hardening. A US citizenship is needed for access to government projects.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting experience with VM and application logs.
• Strong Linux skills (RHEL 8/9).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher for containerized workloads.
• Familiarity with Apache NiFi or similar data integration tools.
• Working knowledge of Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Hands-on experience managing VMs in OpenStack, VMware, or AWS.
• Ability to troubleshoot SSH, performance, and network-related issues in Linux environments.
• Experience applying security hardening (STIG, STE/STN) and maintaining compliance documentation (SSP).
• Experience with network flow monitoring tools.
• Active Security + Certification (TS/SCI) and US citizenship.
• Monitoring and managing production Linux VMs.

Responsibilities

• Manage server certificates and VM health, update software via YUM.”
• Monitor production Linux VMs and Kubernetes clusters across platforms.
• Maintain Ansible playbooks and monitor clusters via Rancher or Kubernetes commands.
• Troubleshoot production VMs and Kubernetes clusters to ensure node/pod health.
• Support Apache NiFi deployments and resolve connectivity or resource issues.
• Manage certificate lifecycle and PKI to meet STIG/SSP requirements.
• Perform software updates, patching, and system hardening via YUM and repos.
• Collaborate with development teams and end users for operational support.
• Analyze logs to identify root causes of VM, container, or application issues.
