Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector seeks a Senior Linux Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to design and implement Infrastructure as Code for deployments and to manage Red Hat Linux environments at Langley Air Force Base, VA. You will develop Ansible playbooks, automate using Terraform and Packer, and harden systems while leading junior staff.

You will collaborate to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, perform patches, and maintain Satellite management.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• 8+ years Linux administration experience or 6+ years with Master’s degree.
• Strong automation and IaC experience using Ansible, Terraform, Packer.
• Experience with RHEL9 and security hardening.
• Experience with virtualization and container platforms (Podman/Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Familiarity with Satellite and automation tooling for CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer and deploy Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and related apps.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles for automation.
• Automate deployments with Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
• Troubleshoot complex Ansible and RHEL issues and optimize configurations.
• Lead and mentor junior teammates; contribute to automation roadmaps.
• Ensure security policies, patching, and risk remediation are applied.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document architecture and support operational improvements.
