Job summary

The Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Software Engineer with Linux/Android internals experience to design, implement and test telephony features for 4G LTE and 5G on mobile platforms.

You will debug complex issues across Android UI, framework, middleware and radio interface layers, contribute to AOSP, and collaborate with internal teams and OEMs to deliver scalable, power-optimized software for evolving chipsets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of programming experience in C, C++, Java, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and drive new telephony features on Android platform.
• Debug and Fix complex problems involving multiple modules from Android UI, framework, middle ware to radio interface layer.
• Implement Tools and Test applications to enable and streamline testing process.
• Make contributions into Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
• Contribute in pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up of future chipsets
