Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to support the FDA enterprise environment consisting of ~3,500 servers. You will provide operational support for on-premise and cloud datacenters, image creation, provisioning, patching, and documentation.

You will work directly with customers to integrate applications, automate tasks, and troubleshoot issues under SLAs, while being self-motivated and accountable, with a 24/7 on-call requirement.

Qualifications

• 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years with a HS Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Linux Administrator.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and provisioning technologies.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux, Ubuntu, OpenShift and automation tools.
• Strong understanding of server backup, security hardening, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with cloud provisioning (AWS, Azure) and IaC tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet SLAs.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain agency clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for on-premise and cloud datacenters (AWS and Azure).
• Image creation, server provisioning, patching, reporting, and SOP documentation.
• Collaborate with customers to integrate applications and automate tasks.
• Troubleshoot a wide range of issues within defined SLAs.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule.
