Job summary
Peraton is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to provide operational support for the FDA enterprise environment, spanning approximately 3,500 physical and virtual servers. You will handle image creation, provisioning, patching, and documentation while working with customers to automate tasks and integrate applications.
Applicants should have at least 5 years of Linux administration experience, familiarity with Red Hat Satellite/Capsule/OEL, OpenShift, Ansible Tower, and cloud
Qualifications
- 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years with HS Diploma.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Linux Administrator.
- Experience with Linux OS: Red Hat Satellite/Capsule/OEL, Foreman, Pacemaker, Kickstart provisioning.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux, Ubuntu, Veritas SF/Infoscale, Ansible Tower, OpenShift.
- Strong server backup knowledge and vulnerability/threat mitigation.
- Familiar with AD/Group Policy, VMWare vSphere, storage, and cloud provisioning.
Responsibilities
- Providing operational support to on‑premise and cloud datacenters (AWS/Azure).
- Image creation, server provisioning, patching, reporting, and SOP/documentation.
- Collaborating with customers to integrate apps, scripting, and automation.
- Troubleshooting issues within defined SLAs.
- On‑call schedule 24/7; 8–5 ET work hours.
